Spent my early teenage years listening to Boy, October, War etc..finally got to see my first live show on 13 June 1987 at Wembley as an 18 year old. 2 more shows later and I didn't think they could get any better so I sort of fell out of love for a while. Fast forward to April 2004 whilst on a trip to NYC accompanied by a copy of ATYCLB which I played over and over as I explored the city...I fell in love with their music again...30 years after that first show and I'm still feeling the love!
"Phew, the roof for the house in the west of Ireland is looking good! I'll be able to change the char this year after all!"
- The Edge joking after the band recorded "One" during the Achtung Baby recordings.
The show where the Red Rocks show was recorded would originally have been postponed due to bad weather, but the band couldn't afford this because they had a film crew over. That is the reason the show happened regardless.
